REPT BATTERO Energy Co., Ltd. made a significant impact at IAA Transportation 2024, showcasing its cutting-edge battery technologies and reaffirming its commitment to a sustainable future. As the transportation industry pivots toward green energy solutions, REPT BATTERO’s presence at this international event underscores its crucial role in shaping the future of commercial electric vehicles.
The company has partnered with leading organizations like GaBi to ensure CO2 traceability across its production processes, while working closely with SGS and TUV to finalize long-term carbon measurement protocols, integral to its ambitious carbon neutrality goals. The Global Zero Carbon Strategy highlights REPT BATTERO’s deep commitment to environmental responsibility, with a focus on achieving carbon neutrality throughout its operations and value chain by addressing the entire lifecycle of its battery systems. A key component of this strategy is the Kalimantan Green Industrial Park in Indonesia, which utilizes clean energy to produce battery materials.
“REPT adheres to high ESG standards, systematically promoting sustainable development across multiple dimensions, including carbon footprint management, energy utilization, corporate social responsibility, waste management, battery recycling, and employee health and safety,” a REPT representative stated at IAA Transportation.
Positioned at the forefront of the green energy revolution, REPT BATTERO made significant contributions to energy storage in 2023, ranking third globally in shipments. By 2024, it aims to expand production capacity to over 150 GWh, increasing its market share.
REPT BATTERO Innovative Technologies: BIG BANK Battery System
A centerpiece of REPT’s technological advancements this year is the BIG BANK battery system, which incorporates its pioneering Wending technology. This innovation optimizes battery performance for commercial electric vehicles, enabling vehicles to travel further on a single charge. “The REPT BATTERO ‘BIG BANK’ system boasts an energy density exceeding 210 Wh/kg, with the flagship 500 kWh version supporting a driving range of over 500 km for heavy-duty trucks. In the hybrid series, the system offers a capacity of 31.5 kWh, an energy density of 171 Wh/kg, and a cycle life of up to 8,000 cycles,” the representative noted. “Our Wending battery technology, through structural and chemical innovations, delivers advantages like high energy density, enhanced safety, and long lifespan.”
Equipped with fast-charging 2.0 cells, the system reduces charging times by 25%, significantly enhancing operational efficiency. Its liquid cooling and heating capabilities ensure temperature stability within 3°C, extending the battery’s service life to over 10 years, thereby reducing total ownership costs. This longevity benefits fleet operators by minimizing environmental impact.
REPT BATTERO’s sustainability goals not only shape the future of transportation but also define its long-term business strategy and public image. By 2025, the company plans to establish additional production bases in Southeast Asia, Europe, and South America, furthering its environmental objectives through the implementation of green manufacturing practices across its supply chain.
The company’s participation at IAA 2024 marks a milestone in its journey toward a sustainable future. Through global sustainability initiatives, innovative technologies, and ambitious carbon neutrality targets, REPT BATTERO sets a high standard for the commercial transportation industry. As the world moves toward a more sustainable tomorrow, REPT BATTERO’s vision and innovations will continue to drive the future of transportation.
Looking ahead, REPT aims to focus on improving the efficiency and energy conservation of commercial vehicle electrification, with plans to reduce total lifecycle costs and promote green development. With the introduction of the “BIG BANK” series, covering both pure electric and PHEV models, REPT is poised to lead the transition to sustainable energy in the transportation sector.
